The Sheep Dairy Association of Wisconsin had a blast this year at the Dane County Fair held at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin. Members including Carr Valley Cheese, Cedar Grove Cheese Inc., Hook’s Cheese, and Landmark Creamery all offered a delicious variety of sheep milk samples. We were thrilled to meet some Wisconsin celebrities who visited our booth—Secretary of Agriculture, Randy Romanski, Alice in Dairyland, Taylor Schaefer, and Dane County Fairest of the Fair, Hayden Paske!!
Whether it was from the desire to start their own sheep farm or a simple curiosity about the difference between sheep, goat and cow milk, visitors from all over the state (and many out-of-state) stopped by our booth to chat with us and try our samples. It was a true pleasure getting to know, educate, and support members of the public at this event and get everyone just as excited about sheep milk products as we are! We hope to see you at our next event soon.
