Annual Meeting Recap

(Black River Falls, WI, December 4, 2019) The Sheep Dairy Association of Wisconsin held its Annual Meeting in Black River Falls on November 16, 2019.  Group members discussed accomplishments, future goals, and ways to improve the organization.

2019 highlights included the development of educational brochures and branded marketing materials, an updated website with a Find Sheep Products page, and attendance at events around the state including the Sheep & Wool Festival and Sauk County June Dairy Breakfast.

With the goal of sharing the unique benefits of sheep dairy with even more people, we’re stepping up our outreach efforts in 2020.  A sheep field day will be open to the public for those interested in getting into sheep dairy or just want to sample some wonderful products. You can also find us at the following events: the Wisconsin State Fair, the Central Wisconsin State Fair, the Sheep & Wool Festival, and the World Dairy Expo.  In addition to these events, we’re always looking for opportunities to get the word out. Please contact us about any other events we should attend!

The Sheep Dairy Association of Wisconsin (SDAW), formed in 2016, aims to inform and educate consumers on sheep dairy products and the health benefits they provide. With volunteer members all across Wisconsin, another focus of SDAW is to provide Wisconsin sheep dairy and cheese producers with a central resource for education, support, and networking.
