Of course, by just being involved in producing sheep milk, processing sheep milk, or selling sheep milk products you are already deeply involved in the industry. The SDAW board would like you to consider a cou- ple of other ways of growing consumer awareness of the wonderful food that comes from sheep’s milk.
- Find out where the June Dairy Month breakfast is going to be held in your county. Request space to bring a dairy sheep, set up a display, and to hand out sheep cheese samples or other sheep milk products. Request that sheep milk cheeses be added to the menu.
Approach local grocery stores, markets, etc. and ask to do demos.
If sheep cheeses are not in a local merchant’s cheese case...see what you can do to change that!
